I am fairly well convinced that most commercial dog and cat food does make pets ill...over a long enough period of time. In short, it's crap. A dog shouldn't have to eat such awful stuff! I will, however, agree that the very best of commercially produced dog and cat foods is probably okay...but this would require some investigation, consulting a good Vet as to which brand is worthwhile, etc.

If humans are eating fresh meat and veggies and if they are good for us, then they're also good for dogs and cats, in my opinion, and probably considerable better for them than the average commercial pet food is.

Anyone who wants to fight with me about this opinion of mine should be directed to my backyard, where my friend Jethro is busy trimming the foliage. Jethro is a donkey (also sometimes termed an ass)...and he likes to argue with people...whereas I'm not particularly interested in doing so. I do like to talk about stuff...but I really don't come here to argue with people, just to talk in a friendly fashion. So take any major bitching you have about whatever I say to Jethro, my Ass, okay? And as a friendly overture when meeting Jethro...give him a nice big kiss.
