I don't think it does. Who really cares? The reason I bring it up is because I know an old gentleman from the 60s folk music community who keeps viciously insulting Tom Cruise at any possible opportunity, referring to him as "the Lithuanian dwarf" or something like that...I may have the nationality wrong...at any rate, he delights in talking about how short Tom Cruise is, as though this relegated the poor man to the value of a lab rat or a piece of road kill.

He may be annoyed over the fact that Tom Cruise is better known than he is, earns more money, and goes out with better looking women...but I'm only theorizing about that... ;-)

So, what's the verdict here? Does it matter if Tom Cruise is shorter than a lot of other men? I can't see why it should. After all, they can make him look just as tall as most other people by the magic of modern filmmaking, CGI, and the usual old tricks (having his lover stand in a trench when she's beside him, etc). No one can tell the difference.

And he's still taller than Chongo!
