I know. Pretty shocking, isn't it?

I couldn't get through life completely without a bit of Don Cherry now and then, so I hunt up his amusing rants on Youtube when I need a fix.

Anyway, this is why I am so unconventional in my views and so deeply subversive regarding the system, you see? I have not lived on a diet of network TV all my life the way most North Americans have, I have instead read books and used the computer (lately). Avoiding TV results in avoiding about 95% of the system's propaganda and commercial messages. In the novel 1984 it was illegal to avoid TV. It's a great social programming tool, and I know it, and am glad to not have it in my life. (although, yes, there are a few things worth watching there...amidst an ocean of stuff that isn't)

I watched Hockey Night in Canada for about 10 years (during my 20s), then lost interest in it after that. Too many damn teams now, as far as I'm concerned.

But I'll watch "the Cherry" anytime in order to get fashion tips. ;-D
