Hi

I was at boarding school in Cheshire, UK, in the 60s and Matron used to sing this to us in the dorm just before lights were turned out.
There were girls from all over the world at the school so I would imagine it's sung far and wide - the two girls I met up with at a reunion a couple of years ago both sang it to their children.

I sang it to my three boys who are now men, to the children I looked after as a childminder and we're applying to foster children now so hopefully I'll be singing it again!

I only sang that first verse, I don't recall any other words (I can't get your link to work on my ancient computer!)
