My HP laser printer has been and still is great - it has so far out-survived 3 inkjet printers.

My only gripe is that when the toner is running out, it doesn't fade but just cuts out and flashes its amber light! But,toner cartridge refills cost me £50 a time and last between 4-6 months.

Of course, according to sods law - the toner always runs out when I have urgent printing to do, or when I am busy and I don't have time to go to the cartridge shop.

I don't use my inkjet printer for printing at all, only scanning one the rare occasions I need colour work done, eg printing calling cards or letterheads I just get a print shop to do it for me.
