When the "birthers" started their campaign against Obama, he produced his birth certificate. The birthers had a wall-eyed fit and wouldn't accept it because it said "Certificate of Live Birth" at the top.

"That," they said, "is not a birth certificate!!" and redoubled their rants.

The Governor of Hawaii said that "that IS the official birth certificate of the State of Hawaii!"

But that didn't stop the birthers. They just ignored the governor and went right on with their slanders.

Even if Obama hadn't been born in the United States (and Hawaii is the fiftieth state), it wouldn't have made any difference, even if he had been born in Kenya or Indonesia as some of the birthers try to claim, because his mother, born in the state of Kansas, IS and American citizen. And the child of an American citizen is automatically a citizen, no matter where they are born.
