Freestone peaches are great. Unfortunately, I am now resigned to never buying peaches in Quebec. They do not grow here and the ones from Ontario are a mixture of freestone and clingstone! Rather like Russian roulette! In the future the only time I will purchase peaches is if I happen to be at an orchard where they are grown. Apples are good - and ubiquitous in this area.

I managed to get some pots trimmed yesterday and have clay laid out, and well covered, ready to work but by the time I got here today, it was lunch time and then tired time. I did stop at that thrift shop and got a water bottle with faucet for the cabin - but no lamp globe. I will take a regular stand lamp to the city today, and keep hoping, and hunting.

Had a nice visit with a friend on the way here, went to library, and stopped to have car noise checked; Sylvain says it is not dangerous but have appointment to have it looked at tomorrow.    Have filled Addie's bowl and will head back to city shortly for another hot bath (one last night totally wiped me out; slept 10 hours!).
