I don't think there's a different set of words. I've always heard it (in french, of course) with the lyrics you gave in english. I also always tought it was "Minuit chrétien", where "chrétien" qualifies "Minuit", and not like an apostrophe, like it is obvious in the english lyrics "Midnight, Christians" - but I might be wrong on that.
