I haven't been here in a while and was deeply shocked and saddened to see this thread that Kat has passed. I only knew her like all of you, through this forum. She was a year and a day older than me and we would sometimes Happy Birthday each other when we remembered. One year she was my Santee. I sent her a box of things and as an after thought included a story I wrote about my time in a Catholic orphanage in the 60's. She was very encouraging about it and kept telling me to write a book. Funny how you can know someone only through a forum like this and yet you form a bond. Her bright spirit will be missed around here, but I know she will brighten up where ever she ventures next.
