I previously to a yoga class I take that includes some people with Parkinson's. A man who I think has Parkinson's has recently begun coming to another different exercise class. When the teacher has us do an abdominal exercise, she asks who could walk through the door that would make us sit up straight and pull in our tummies. (Okay, she can get kind of silly.) If nobody in the class says a name, she usually suggests one of several actors she likes. Then she asks if the men in the class have any suggestions. A few days ago this man said, "Linda Ronstadt." The teacher said, "Oh, she has such a lovely voice." The man said, "She can't sing anymore." The teacher asked, "What? Why not?" The man answered, "She has Parkinson's. She can talk, but she can't sing."
