Amy Fonoroff, among her other interests, was an important and devoted presence in the traditional folk music scene during the late seventies in Cambridge, Massachusetts. She worked with the infamous Peter Johnson, and later with the late Robin Blecher to produce some wonderful concerts, especially those that featured performers from the British Isles (Ewan & Peggy, Boys of the Lough etc.,etc,). She was a fan of the Boston Celtics, classical music, and loved her cats. Amy and I conversed via e-mail and telephone for many years, but lost touch in the last few months. She had been disabled by a variety of illnesses. I was about to call her tonight, but was saddened to find that she had passed away on Mar 12. If nobody responds to this thread that's okay.
