gnu - I always liked Joe Clark. He seemed like a decent and reasonable man to me. Same for Robert Stanfield. But both of them lacked the killer instinct that is so vital for success in politics. As for Trudeau, I think he was an absolutely brilliant man with tremendous guts, and a great prime minister, though I didn't always agree with him on specific issues. I doubt we'll see his like again.
