Suzy, the "fat sticking" plague over 50 is probably as much due to our jobs (sitting at computers all day) as to anything else. So here we have the problem and the solution in one place.
Linn, when you clear stuff out of the guest room, where does it go? That may be the next big reading adventure for us.
I have been fiddling with the new triple timer I ordered from Amazon. My favorite old West Bend finally kicked the bucket (simple operation, one AA battery to run it) and I needed something that would let me time more than one thing or set up a sequence of timers. Lux makes one that looked reasonable, it does have some mighty sturdy magnets on the back to keep it where I place it, but it isn't entirely intuitive. I've had to read the instructions through a couple of times just to get it set and to figure out how to run one timer at a time. I'd better use it a bit before I get to one of those time-sensitive cooking things where I can't stop to fiddle with the timer in the middle of stirring as fast as I can for exactly one minute before the next critical stage arrives.
