I've not seen it mentioned so it may well have gone unnoticed that the latest incarnation of the Transatlantic Sessions started tonight.

Unfortunately it's on BBC2 Scotland so there are many who won't be able to watch it. Unless you live North of the border or have Freesat that is.

Highlights included Jerry Douglas' apparently increasing girth, Tim o'Brien's magnificent beard and Andy Irvine's shiny (new I assume) Sobel octave mandolin.
