I am happily ensconced at La Maison de Dani in Hillsborough NAWTH Carolina, the Great North State, the very town where the Revolutionary War began. Today I raked lawns and cleared gutters. Yesterday we had a jam in the morning (free coffee!) at the Depot coffee shop where the freight trains roll by. The night before there was an open mic at the downtown Billsborough bar. It's a lovely, artsy,. inviting sorta town, and I like it. But soon we will depart for Silver Spring (Gene and Sandrolin's pre-Getaway Musick Jam and Poker Circle) and the Getaway proper, three days of spirits both high and fine. Then I bid fond adieu to the East and all its glories.
