I intended this as shorthand for: "Some parts of the Bible may be loosely based on verifiable historical facts, allowing for mistranslations, misinterpretations, differences and discontinuities in authorship and quite a bit of mythologising, poetic licence and out and out fiction". I hope that that clarifies that point?
