Semantically speaking 'mission' is not the perfect word to express a life long passion. Campbell called it one's bliss or door opener.

My adult bliss:
I had a juvenile repeating dream, no really, that in the few moments remaining before the missiles landed, be it front an accidental or intentional, I saw first my neighbors exiting their front door malevolently blaming someone else or each other for the coming holocaust, then I saw from an omniscient point of view all neighbors bursting forth each with someone else to blame. In some cases the shadows of the blaming masses were sealed into concrete, their anger fossilized for millennia by vaporization. It was a child's repeating dream but it seemed to contain its own answer.

After years of thought it became clear to me that being right or being happy, or being a greedy liar, similar to Dave's comment, all learned states of mind and beliefs or adherence to dogmatic thoughts are injected into the brains of people by similar means. Perhaps I could help people defend themselves against "the dark arts"?

The injection of basic destructive commands into people is the same worldwide as if one giant syringe was squeezing its venom or medicine 24/7. This syringe goes by countless names, methodologies, religions, propagandists, politicians, businessmen, lovers and haters alike. That one thing is hypnosis and how easily the brain is led, guided, directed, focused and distracted by others or one's self.

I thought for an independent open mind to flourish what was needed was universal awareness of the susceptibility and use of hypnosis upon people who need to know who and what was being done to them.
What was needed was a hypnosis awareness vaccine so that the positive use of an enhanced focused mind for the good would be enhanced and on the other hand be warned against the predatory uses of hypnosis.

This is similar to the revelation Mrzzy mentioned.

With regards to dedicating oneself to do no harm;
to life or Earth it is a noble but difficult thing to do. Every action or inaction can do some harm. I was ten when I saw a cat with a live bird in its mount so I yelled at the cat and threatened to throw a rock to make the cat drop the bird. The cat didn't, I threw the rock and the rock hit the bird in mid air as the cats reflexes dodged the rock in a micro second. The bird died instantly. In a bio system we are all essentially eating ourselves with a little help from the sun and established eco systems. Not everyone is suitable to practice Janeism. Every decision we make does not have the virtue of seeing every eventual outcome and whether it will cause no harm or not.

When I was hired by a hypnosis firm, many separate experiences came together be it Carlos Castaneda in HS, Hypnosis in college, mushrooms, LSD experiments and my strange encounter with Telepathine, a compound from the Amazon.

At this date I am still working on my hypnosis vaccine book. The Very same idea that caused the Jesuit order feel threatened in Rochester, at least enough so to take certain actions and spend money and time in a kind of vengeful defense. When the CIA came calling they clearly wanted to weaponize hypnosis for their own misguided purposes of murder and social engineering and wanted a veteran in the field to further refine the process that was begun long ago by their recently deceased pioneer of hypnosis and drug weapons designer.
While I did not accept their offer when I finally said no their acts of revenge were too bizarre to be believed by most people. Even for 1982, I was surprised at the progress they had made with regards to covert weapons. I did what most of you would do, I ran, first west and then east.

I know one's personal area of expertise may seem to have universal applications and may sometimes become inappropriately over generalized but the concept and practice of hypnosis in religion, politics, sociology, media and business is absolutely no delusion.
You are right this moment living the outcome of all the intentionally applied hypnosis successes and misguided cruelties.

How important is it? It is at least as important as psychology, political science, religion and linguistics combined.
At least this is what my vaccine book seeks to prove.
