When I first got interested in folk music, Cynthia Gooding's "Queen of Hearts" lp was one of the first half-dozen records I bought--and learned songs from. I've got a lot of mileage out of "Queen Eleanor's Confession" (historically inaccurate, but a helluva song!).

I love her voice. Rich contralto.

My "Queen of Hearts" record has been played 'til the grooves are flat. I really wish it were available on CD, along with her other recordings.

Another great record is "Young Man and a Maid" which she did with Theodore Bikel.
