This one is one of my favourites - oddly, given the stereotype, he can be very thoughtful of others. I don't know if it's empathy, or if he's learned it, as some learn the eye contact, but if it is learned, I'd rather have it than empathy that doesn't lead to action. I would go and find a link to the Guardian yesterday, where they had an article you might find interesting, but I've never succeeded in getting past the home page.
