(woops - looks like my previous words of wisdom didn't make it on my first try.........)
But looking back over 50 years of so I can say making music to make money is just like trying to work around the weather - sometimes you get it right and other times you get wet........ What I've found is it's like gardening or farming: look out the window and if the weather's not right then stay by the warm fire - if the gigs are not there go back to some kind of work until you find some fertile ground for your art.
