Hi GeneJ, my first suggestion is to install/use a simple MIDI player such as Microsoft's Media Player as a trial. It won't have the fancy mixing facilities of Midisoft but it should provide an indication of whether your soundcard is the problem. I tend to doubt that very much and suspect that the 'resolution' of your software is the issue. Once you resolve this point the diagnosos will be much easier to determine.

Even if your sound card is dodgy I believe that we still have a few tricks available yet.
