Up and out early this morning....little man to school, Walmart, hair cut, highlights, groceries, picked up my little man early, home to do dishes, laundry, general pick up, empty the car, repack quilting gear and then I have a nice family dinner planned: Roasted chicken, stuffing, greenie beanies and Jeremiah is going to help me bake a cake for a special treat.

The house is cold. We are out of pellets and Pete will be building the first fire of the season when he gets home. I know how to build a fire and can start one in the wood stove but the first fire of the season requires some fiddling outside with the chimney box as a cold chimney means the fire is difficult to start. Instead, we'll do some baking until Daddy gets home and that will warm the kitchen nicely (which is where I will be working and Jeremiah will be nearby playing with his cars).
