I listened to 'Au Cafe du Canal' on YouTube, Alan, and I don't think it's the same song. It is very similar to the A part of the Rosbif Waltz, (RW) but not quite the same. And it lacks the B and C parts.

It was hard for me to play the RW in my head while listening to the similar rapid notes of Perret's song, so I can't say for certain. But I do think it lacks of the poignant measure in F which makes my husband love the Rosbif Waltz.
