Hi Noreen, you could do worse than try and see what is on in Clifden on the Connemara, a very beautiful part of the world if all else fails.

Lowrys in Clifden normally has music on a Thursday night with some very good musicians and a great mixture of songs and tunes. (tel:00 353 95 21347)The numerous other bars often have sessions going and are open and generous with visiting singers/musicians.

Richie Newman will probably he playing in Lowrys(he has a bar in Cleggan). He is also a great guy and very talented on mandolin, guitar and banjo, give him my regards if you see him please.
