Malcolm lived in Sheffield and had associations with the Stirrings Folk magazine which covers activities in South Yorkshire and parts of Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire.

Raymond Greenoaken is the editor and was good friend of Malcolms I believe recent Stirrings issue covered the history of SRFN, and early Stirrings magazines (South Yorkshire Diary) which chronicled Malcolms input as contributor and editor

Stirrings is a quarterly publication and very well worth reading for

its national content cd reviews etc as wellas the local events/what's on

Malcolm was also involved in EFDSS working with Steve Gardham (from Hull) on revising song books
