I know exactly how you feel - not being up for Christmas this year myself...

My gran died in July, and it will be my first christmas without her... It really is significant, and me and dad traditionally, have not been allowed anywhere near our pressies, until Gran had got up, got dressed, and one of us had been to her house to collect her and bring her to our house.

We would then all sit together and open our pressies... It's going to be an odd year - I miss her dreadfully, even if she could be a bit of an old haridan sometimes (though I always used to tell her when she used to get a bit much)

Plus on top of this, another relative lost a father this year, and various other problems throughout the year...

But this year is my first year without a grandparent at all - ever... And I miss not having a gran (never knew my grandfathers) - and well, what can I say, they are an important part of the family - perhaps I should adopt myself a grannie in the near future?

Oh, well... getting myself all upset now...

So - Kim I guess some of us are entitled to feel a bit cheesed off now and then... at least for me it is going to be a quiet one..
