I wonder what it is about The English Patient? You either love it and think it was extremely moving, or you think it was the biggest piece of toss ever made.

I hated it. None of the characters interested me in the slightest and it bored me to a slow painful death. I was watching it with my brother and his wife, on video. After about 1 hour into the film, my sister in law looked around the room and asked "Is ANYBODY enjoying this???". We all shook our heads slowly with pained expressions on our faces.
