Yes Pete, I make it with strawberry jelly on home-made sponge, with luscious home-grown strawberries, ladles of sherry, some crushed walnuts, cold custard made with Jersey milk and lashings (shades of Enid Blyton?) of thick cream on top. Imagine the calories and the cholesterol in that lot! (But at least the jelly doesn't fatten you.)
