Subject: RE: Tech: Need advice on Printer
A note found after the above post indicates that for both my Epson WF7520 and my Epson WF2540 most of the 2-sided print features are available only for a few specific sizes of paper sheets. Both printers are indicated as being able to print from "business card size" or a little larger (small index card size?) up to 8-1/2 x 11 for the 2540 and 11 x 17 for the 7520, but "letter size" is about the only sheet size that can be printed 2-sided using the automatic turnover feature.

If your document is set up for some other sheet size, you should be able to use the document you have but find a setting to "fit to page" and select one of the printed paper sizes that lets you use all the features, but you'll need to investigate your own printer to be sure. (The document page can be any size, but the printed page size has to be something the paper feed can handle.) It may be necessary to dig into the details of your own printer to see what similar limits apply (what paper sizes can be printed 2-sided).

It might be worth noting that the "Nuance PDF Converter Pro" that I use for scanning to pdf and/or combining scanned page images (.jpg usually) to pdf documents allows you to "rotate" a page, range of pages, or "all pages," "all even" pages," or "all odd pages," so if nothing else works I could convert a .doc to pdf, flip the even pages upside down and use default 2-sided printing to get the result you're wanting**. There shouldn't be any change in image quality if the page is rotated. (But there's still the printer limitation that the printed pages have to be a size that the feed can handle to use the automatic 2-sided printing.)

** if your printer is printing the even pages upside down, upside down upside down pages would be right side up ...(???).
