Please will someone tell me why we have to keep tearing lumps off each other on Mudcat? Especially when we all love the same music.
Dick looks a lot better than I do in front of a camera, I'm too embarrassed at my waist size to be filmed. Yes I love doing gigs but I equally enjoy singers nights and singarounds. This is where the musical variety and hard work on the folk scene finds a voice. I do not care one bit if the words are forgotten or the voice is not as good as it might be, as long as the love and belief in the song is there to be seen. So post away on youtube Dick and everybody else who has a song to sing. If I can sing at all it's because I listened to other people and tried to understand what was going on. Meanwhile it really does not cost a thing to be kind and to listen. If this makes me a soft old bugger so be it.
