Hello Voice;
I am rather late with this answer but it is so long since I have had a computer at home that the time just slipped by. I remember the name you mention but not the face. Sorry.
I remember Michael Furlong and so many others. The one that I will never forget was a little old fella that we all called "Dicky Cloon", but was in fact named Richard Cullen. The young men in the pub had a long piece of wire to which they had attached the bath-tub plug. They then told Dicky Cloon that it was a mike and he should sing into it and I would record it on my recorder. I felt so bad that they were teasing him so, but he was loving every moment of it. Dicky sang his heart out and didn't want to stop.   So many wonderful, fun filled nights spent at the Oak Tree and White's. Sean White was the All Ireland whistler and he was lovely to hear. Celestine White was a lovely dancer also.   I will close for now as I will go on forever ......... and you know what it's like in Foulksmills anyway. God bless.............I hope you will see this sometime soon.
