Singin' in the Rain
Hi,
I went to see this, last week at Cardiff's Wales Millennium Centre, where it plays until 5th January.
For anyone in UK considering purchasing tickets as it moves on around the UK, I can highly recommend it. (see the first link for places/dates)
The Chichester Festival Theatre put on a great display, full of energy, with the main parts well played, danced & sung.

It re-creates the musical (film) very well, and the title number came with a caveat (courtesy of the booking office) for anyone purchasing seats in the first 10 rows, that they might get wet. James Leece (playing Don Lockwood) took great delight in ensuring that some of his kicks sent water out over the audience. The finale (a reprise of this number) had the whole cast on stage, with an apparent competition to see who could drench the greatest number of the audience.
Rather than risk wet instruments, the orchestra/musicians were not in the pit, but above & behind the stage.

A great show, enjoyed by all, as I said above, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.

Cheers

Nigel
