Subject: RE: Declutter and Fitness in early 2014
It was 10 degrees F. today and the wind was brutal...sun out, though. I had lunch with a friend in Portsmouth and would have gone for a walk on the beach but...did I tell you the wind is brutal?!?
Tried out a new place -- Cemita Shack in Portsmouth and had a lovely lunch. Had it fully traditional today, but next time will prolly have either seafood or pork on the caesa'rita salad -- I'm trying to avoid as many simple carbs as possible. Besides the change from cooking for one from cooking for two, and not having to follow Tom's desires on cooking (which will mean more veggies, less meat, more other grains instead of white bread, white rice, or potatoes) AND I won't be required to keep desserts around.
Did laundry this morning, but I haven't been doing a lot since the weekend. And yesterday I ended up on the phone most of the day getting something straightened out that I thought was taken care of at the beginning of December. Sigh. (Didn't help my state of mind, either.)
Intended to get CD jewel cases today (for Tom's CDification of his 1986 cassette tape) at Staples, but they didn't have any regular 1-CD full size jewel cases. So broke down and ordered online. Also stopped at Savers looking for a mid-weight winter jacket to replace the ancient one I'm wearing (which I love, but the lining is self-destructing with age), and ended up buying a lovely forest green one and a heavier brown one, all for less than 20 bucks. Now I can retire the bulky but warm jacket I don't particularly care for (warm, though). I think a friend can use it. The green one needs the buttons sewed on tighter and the other one needs new buttons, but I think I might have some that will work.
Decluttered another unidentified container from the freezer -- stew! Just had some of it for supper.
Now, I think, I'll take a glass of wine upstairs and make some phone calls and/or read. Believe it or not, I was asleep last night before 8:30. Knee pain didn't wake me this morning until after 6:30.
