I get phosphor bronze generic martin light gauge strings. We buy 12 sets at a time from a music store where we used to live. We get a deal on the amount and the strings are fine. Phosphor bronze strings provide a "bite" on the frets that I liked and the elixirs don't. Hard to explain. What works for one, doesn't work for another.
