This Saturday, January 18, 2014, is our monthly Press Room Shanty, Forebitter, and Ballad Sing, from 3:30 until 7:30 -- the first Press Room Sea Music Sing of the New Year and the second without Tom Hall at the helm.

The location is, of course, The Press Room on Daniel Street, Portsmouth, New Hampshire. And the weather looks good, sunny and reasonably warm and, with the warmish temperatures, fog and rain, parking places should be reasonably snow-free on Saturday.

No, I don't yet have a date for a memorial gathering for Tom at The Press Room -- but now that my mother's funeral in Milwaukee and the holidays are survived, I can seriously start planning it. Please bear with me; it's been a complicated two months...

I'm looking forward to seeing as many of you as possible!
