Sonnet 21/01/10                                       MLXX

Have I reason to think I might now seek
To know my muse's dreams? Should I inquire
As to her heart's desires, or try to speak
Of how she might by words my heart inspire?
Have I a hope to win her smile, or earn
A chance to look in eyes? Might I keep dream
Alive, that she remains my muse, or learn
Enough, to silence from past years redeem?
Have I the chance to change a part of past,
And offer more than words? Will time permit
My heart to heal, and hold to muse at last?
Can I find words that would desires fit?
I cannot know if muse might want my verse:
Yet thought brings lines, be it blessing, or curse.
