Here's a thread in which an inquiry was made for lyrics and chords of "Man in the Moon . Marilyn Middleton Pollock posted the lyrics and some information there in March of 2013, as well as her contact information.

Lyrics here in the Mudcat Forum as "The Man In The Moon " include the remembered line, "but you can't take the man from the moon."
