If you study the history of this country Ake, you will see that change does come gradually if people fight for it. We're now in a politically regressive era but thanks to forward looking politicians like President Obama and progressive groups like OWS we'll get past this. The first steps should be to get the big corporate money out of the election process and establish standardized, fair elections.
