Thread Name: The Newfolks - Hull?
Subject: RE: The Newfolks - Hull?
Since we're on a roll with the Hull folk mystery-solving, here's another one for you.

I have two EPs on the custom Processed Pea label (yeah, I know that's not strictly Hull, but near enough!), with catalogue numbers PPL2 and PPL3. One is the "Yorkshire Born And Proud Of It" EP (Pete Smith & Friends), the other the "Hessle Road" one (Pete Smith again) which also has "Beverley Market" on it and other bits.

The catalogue numbers suggest there must have been a "PPL1" record released before these two - does anyone know what it was? And indeed, does anyone know if there were any subsequent [vinyl] releases after these?

I'm assuming Pete Smith was a Hullensian, is he still around?

Any info appreciated as always - as you can tell I'm quite interested in all of this!

Cheers
Nick
