LOL... The best parody-phonetic version of that song I ever heard was from a Welshman.

Years ago (no, make that decades) when I first moved to London from the States, I asked him to teach me the native words, simply because I loved it so much. You should have heard what he came up with! (And no, I'm not going to post them here. More than my life's worth.)

I do think Wales got it right when it comes to national anthems. I've always felt that America's should be America The Beautiful, which has a much better melody and is easier to sing. I also like its sentiments, a simple celebration of natural beauty rather than rockets & bombs.
