He's right. This is really something to ponder, so I have launched a thread to explore it in depth. Feel free to post and give your own thoughts on the matter.

Will dawn follow this darkness? Will I find
Another muse to offer smile or dream?
I search, but in her absence hope is blind:
There is not light enough for tears to gleam.
Stars give no guidance: I can see no spark,
Nor beacon fire to show my heart the way.
I do not know if caring has left mark
Upon me, that I cannot desires say.
What can I do, to inspiration hold?
Where can I find a future? Will hope give
Some chance to fulfill dream? Is wish too bold,
