Sonnet 24/02/06                                     MXLVII

Does desire for muse give dream chance to know
What heart truly requires, or does it find
Only reflections of the past? To show
The future: Would that vision filled my mind.
I miss my muse: How can I feelings tell
Without those whispers in the night? I wait,
But only silence share. I've lost the spell
Muse cast with smile: Are all dreams now too late?
Yet, that she is happy should ease concern
And regrets fade with each thought of smile. All
That I long to hold her, should hopes return,
Does not lessen joy that she found love's call.
Should I ask for a heart, when I desire
Only that she send voice to dreams inspire?
