Can dream of dream share enough with my soul
To ease my longings? Can hope give mind rest
At end of day, when dreams wake to control
All but themselves? Can my heart stand this test?
In all of past I cannot seem to find
The reason arms ache with the dream of you.
Yet, should I to absence remain resigned,
When dreams offer your eyes, and smile, anew?
Can cold reality offer me more
Than echoes of these dreams of muse provide?
Can dream any of hope to heart restore,
Or will heart learn to in itself abide?
Have I even a chance in dreams to hold
To one who all of my dreams of hope mold?
