with those extensions with plastic housing you can, if you're careful, take them apart. drill a new outlet for the cable wherever you want it- run your cable through it - secure it just inside the hole with PVC tape rolled around it inside the housing so it isn't pulling on the inside connections, ans screw it back together again.
