The dislike that many people have for Justice Thomas is indeed a matter of "the content of his character" rather than "the color of his skin." His chronic sexual harassment of female aides and co-workers (remember Anita Hill?) did not endear him to many people of ALL colors, including other blacks.

This, along with his political views—very conservative. Among other things, he is a staunch fan of Ayn Rand and an avowed "Libertarian." Which is far different from "Liberal."

He was nominated to the Supreme Court in 1991 by George W. Bush.

The content of his character AND his political beliefs. This is why he is disliked by Liberals in general, not limited to the north, and elite or otherwise.

NOT the color of his skin.
