Actually I called Seed last night. His wife was under the weather but is fortunately feeling better....what a drag to come all the way to Hawaii for a 35th anniversary and be SICK! He asked me about folk music here...sorry to say, I haven't found any, except for a couple of friends I occasionally play with here in Hilo. I've heard rumors of a pub in Lahaina, Maui, where folkies get together, but haven't been to Maui yet (in 6 years!), and Seed is going to be staying on Oahu for the whole visit. So he'll have to find his own dingy, 'Spaw.

And yes, Bonnie, the rain was awesome, even for rainy Hilo. 29 inches in 24 hours, and some parts of the island got more than 3 feet. That's RAIN, folks.
