Hi, Amy. You have my deepest sympathy. I've been trying to think of some chant or game we did as kids that's in triple meter, and I can't think of one. And mixylodian mode? give me a break!

But I can think of a chant that would qualify as irregular. It was a jump rope rhyme, and I'll send in a MIDI so you can hear the timing of it. The words were:

How to spell........ Mississippi!
Capital M! I!
crooked letter, crooked letter I! (repeat)
humpback, humpback I!

("crooked letter' means S, and 'humpback' is P)

the MIDI is more tuneful than what we chanted, but don't tell your teacher.
