This song came out when I was roaming the White Mts. of Northern NH, but knowing that I was soon off to the War with a broken heart - torn in several directions by a lost love, the ending of a tormented childhood, and a strong sense of migration instinct. It was the season for leaving, and when the geese went over that year I could hear in their cry my calling. That was over 30 years ago.
