Recalling that Paul Simon copyrighted his/Martin Carthy's arrangement of Scarborough Fair, I wondered if uK folk musicians have successfully copyrighted their versions of traditional English ballads. Or whether is works in this country, or if its work the bother. I think Bob Dylan recorded Nic's version of CANADI-A-O, but it was listed as a traditional song on the album, although this song more than any bears Nic's handiwork.
