I actually did not hear this song from Girl Scouts, but at a non-affiliate camp. However, we sang it a bit differently than what everyone else has posted:

Out of my window looking in the night
I can see the barges flickering light.
Out of my window looking to the sea
How I wish they too would carry me.

Barges, how I'd like to go with you
How I'd like to sail the ocean blue.
Barges, have you treasure in you hold,
do you fight with pirates brave and bold?

(We would then hum at the end... and it was always done as a round).
